Harish Methil

Founder & Managing Director

Harish Methil is a purpose driven Business Leader, Founder and Managing Director of AMPUP Advisory, a boutique advisory firm focusing on understanding and articulating purpose, business strategy, business models, business processes, with a particular focus on sustainability strategies. Harish is purpose driven and passionate about transformational and impact projects, and is fully committed in contributing to UN Sustainability Development Goals. Prior to starting up AmpUp, Harish was Chief Executive Officer of Raj Petro- A Brenntag Group company, since May 2018 and managed a global business based out of Singapore.  Raj Petro Specialities Pvt Ltd – A Brenntag Group Company, is a multi–faceted petroleum and lubricant manufacturing and marketing company, offering a complete range of industrial, automotive, specialty lubricants in addition to the portfolio of Transformer Oils, Petroleum Jelly, and Industrial wax.

Prior to Raj Petro, Harish was President of Kemin Food Technologies Asia.  Based out of Singapore, Harish managed the Asia Pacific region, including India and China.   Kemin Food Technologies is a part of Kemin Industries, a global privately held company that develops, manufactures, and distributes specialty ingredients to the feed and food industries and the health, nutrition, and beauty markets. In total, Harish has worked more than 2 decades in food systems, starting from his own family farm, and professionally working through the rest of the value chain.

Harish has a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from University of Calicut, India, and a Master’s in Business Administration from University of Chicago Booth School of Business, USA.  He has the following certifications to strengthen his knowledge and competence in sustainability.

  • Certification – Executive program on circular economy and sustainability strategies and obtained certificate from the University of Cambridge, Judge Business School
  • Certificate of training in GRI standards, reporting and linking to UNSDG -GSSB
  • Certificate of participation- Sustainable Business Strategy- Harvard Business School
  • Certified trainer- InChainge- Supply Chain business simulation experiential learning platform.
  • Certified trainer- InChainge- Circular economy simulation experiential learning platform.

 

Harish has multiple functional expertise prior to CEO roles and was involved in WFP program through his previous employment. He enjoys his constant learning, volunteering, and mentoring activities, including his engagement with couple of start-ups as investor and mentor.
